Birmingham Anchor Network
BSSEC CIC has given support to the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES) and the Birmingham Anchor Network concerning procurement through the identification of local social enterprises for specific procurement opportunities. Examples include Aston University awarding new contracts to local social businesses We have also been involved in supporting these Anchor Network partners to explore social value in their procurement processes and changing their process. This will result in new opportunities for the social economy going forward with BSSEC CIC playing a key role in this work.
