Embedding the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise sector into Birmingham and Solihull’s Integrated Care System
BVSC is running a series of place-based sessions this September continuing work to embed the voluntary, community faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector into the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System. These sessions will help inform the development of the ICS’ long term strategy planning, support the involvement of local people and communities in decision-making, and provide a space for updates, training and involvement opportunities that will benefit VCFSE organisations.

Research Better Together: New Webinar series
BVSC and the University of Birmingham will be delivering a series of webinars this Autumn that aim to promote collaboration between the Voluntary and Community Sector and people in the research community. The workshops will demystify the language used by the research community about co-production, co-design and participative research and look at examples where organisations are benefiting from working with a research partner.

Small Grants Available to Support Refugees in England
Funding from
Church Urban Fund to assist refugees with all aspects of settling and integrating in their new communities. Providing items to cover basic needs; helping with settlement into life in England; providing safe spaces and networks of support.
KFC Foundation Launches Autumn Round of Community Grants Programme
Grants from
KFC Foundation are available for charities, community interest companies and clubs or associations to support projects that help young people create firm foundations by addressing their needs through early intervention, and empowering young people to fulfil their potential through the provision of safe social spaces, mentoring, work, and social skills development.

An event for SMEs to access the right expertise that will enable them to successfully collaborate and move novel ideas from products and services through to apps and data technologies.
The event will provide delegates with an opportunity to engage with experts working within the field of *medical innovation translation* and will focus on how collaboration is key for the success of these innovations from the laboratory through to the clinic and towards commercial exploitation.
The event will also offer a unique pitching opportunity for SMEs to receive 1-to-1 coaching from experts working within the field of commercialisation and technology translation.
