Roots HR shortlisted for start-up of the year award

Roots HR, specialist provider of HR services for social enterprise and the third sector, has been shortlisted as one of four in the ‘start-up of the year‘ category in Social Enterprise of the Year Awards 2011. We wish them every success. Winners in this, the English heat, will be announced on 1 March and will go through to the UK finals, where they will be joined by social enterprise organisations and people from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Awards really are a big deal for those social enterprises involved. The PR and publicity dividends are significant — as well, of course, as the personal satisfaction of being amongst the best the sector offers. This year’s award ceremony — to be held at the end of Voice 11 — is expected to attract around 1,000 guests, with awards being presented by Labour leader Ed Miliband.
