Now, amid all the doom and gloom, here is a welcome good news story. Roots HR, a CIC providing HR and other services specifically for social mission organisations, has just announced that to mark Social Enterprise Day — which is tomorrow, the 18th November — it is using surpluses to fund a special offer of one year’s FREE HR support to TWO social enterprises.
To qualify, applicants must be social enterprises that derive at least 25% of their income from trading and are working towards sustainability.
“We are in a position to help two social enterprises with employment law compliance, employee absence, disputes and the other HR-related problems that can hinder growth and development,” says Roots HR’s chief exec, Jan Golding.
The support will be provided through Roots HR’s market-leading advice service, Comply.
The deadline for application is 12 noon on 3rd December 2010, with the winners receiving their free service from January 2011.
