Transition Fund brings good news for Birmingham

Third Sector Online has just announced that 727 third sector organisations will be sharing a total of £81m in grant support from the third round of applications to the Transition Fund (via Big Lottery).

There will be some happy faces in Birmingham. Just under 5% (36 organisations) in Birmingham have been successful, including Kajans, Jericho Foundation, Bloomsbury Cyber Junction, Enta, Birmingham Disability Resource Centre, Birmingham CAB and many more.

The smallest amount awarded in Birmingham is £16,000; the largest amount is £500,000 — the maximum the scheme offers.

Congratulations to all those who have been successful — it’s been a long wait and a demanding application process according to those I have spoken to, but undoubtedly worth it.
