Social value — implications for social enterprises and third sector

BSSEC presentation TSA 1.1.ppt.pdf (page 1 of 18)Based on the detailed policy briefing on social value that we recently circulated information about, we have now produced a presentation that looks at the practical implications of the new Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 for social enterprises and third sector organisations.

The presentation explains how Birmingham City Council is likely to implement and use social value in its procurement, based on the lessons emerging from the work we have done with the authority so far.

A lot of events and conferences on social value are taking place, but many of these are still really only theorising about social value. Anyone wanting to know what real-life use of the legislation will probably look like in one major local authority should read our policy briefing and see the presentation.

All of our resources on social value are archived together on this page.
