A popular Erdington nursery is opening its doors to parents and their toddlers next week during one of two fun-packed open days in July.
The Lakeside Children’s and Family Learning Centre, in Wyrley Birch, is run by social enterprise Enta and, as well as the flagship Lakeside Nursery, it offers a range of services to support everyone from working mums and fathers-to-be to job seekers and vulnerable adults.
The centre is holding two open days – the first on Tuesday 12 July and the second on Tuesday 26 July – offering parents a great opportunity to find a nursery place for their children.
Both open days will be held between 10am and 3pm and parents and their tots can just drop-in to the Lakeside centre’s reception on either day to meet the nursery team and for a tour of the centre.
Lakeside Nursery takes children from eight weeks to five years old – with parents of children over three years old entitled to 15 hours of free childcare a week.
Natalie Cox, Nursery Manager at the Lakeside centre, said: “Choosing a nursery can often be a daunting experience for parents, so these open days offer the perfect chance to answer any questions.
“It is also an opportunity for us to remind parents of the many different types of financial support that they could be entitled to. Simply tell us your circumstances and we’ll tell you how we can help.”
Enta is a social enterprise and training provider and, as well as running the Lakeside centre, it also runs Little Mill Nursery and Top Lock Cafe, at Mill Wharf. In addition, it offers conference and catering facilities – including a halal kitchen – as well as a landscaping and construction service.
