Charity Finance Group, ACEVO and New Philanthropy Capital have just jointly published ‘Principles into Practice’, a new guide for charities and social enterprises on measuring and reporting social impact.
I haven’t had chance to really look at this yet but it certainly looks useful and — in light of the Public Services (Social Value) Act becoming law — is clearly timely. The thing that interests me most is that it seems to be about not just measuring social impact but how best to communicate it. This is something that even some of the most effective organisations sometimes struggle with.
