Listen, Value and Invest in the Equality Sector: Is Big Society Big on Equality?

A national conference for equality and human rights practitioners working across England

Wednesday 23rd March 2011, 10.45am – 3.30pm (Registration from 10.00am)

Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, 108 Stamford Street, London, SE1 9NH

This is a FREE Event (lunch provided)

This conference will bring together front line equality organisations from across England with policy makers to provide a space for sharing ideas and recommendations on how to ensure Big Society has equality at its heart. A range of front line equality VCS organisations will deliver engaging presentations on their progress with the Big Society agenda highlighting achievements, opportunities and challenges.

Jonathan Rees, Director-General, Government Equalities Office and Professor Richard Wilkinson, Co-author of The Spirit Level and Founder of The Equality Trust will be giving key note speeches as well as taking part in the panel discussion with a range of experts on equality and Big Society.
