Enta CIC supports Kingstanding Fun Day

FINAL preparations are underway for Kingstanding Fun Day.

The annual event takes place on Saturday from 10.30am at Wheeldon Recreation Ground on Kingstanding Road, and runs until 2.30pm.

To celebrate Adult Learners’ Week there will be a number of activities, including expert advice and guidance for training, education and jobs from staff at Enta CIC.

Fun seekers can also find out more about UK Online courses and information access, Foundation Learning for 16-18 year olds, Nursery provision, charities working in the area and volunteer opportunities.

Information regarding the imminent digital switchover will also be available while there is an opportunity to get your blood pressure checked and seek health advice. The Community Police will also be on hand to tackle any concerns visitors may want to raise.

Organiser Keith Airey said: “The fun day is an annual event and one that local people really look forward to – and more importantly can benefit from.”

There will also be a bouncy castle, face painting and a football cage for children, along with a DJ, food and drink, a tombola, hanging baskets to buy for the home and much more.

Adult Learners’ Week always provides an excellent opportunity to think about learning a new language.

The Esperanto Association has launched a course for beginners which I think provides an excellent springboard to the learning of many languages.
