Cloudberry, Summit House and SEWM CIC are holding a special employment focussed event in Dudley, to help raise awareness of the issues faced by people and their carers in gaining or retaining employment. On 3rd June there will be an open, interactive event for employers seeking practical support to enable them to provide work experience opportunities for people facing significant barriers to employment.
The event will feature a range of keynote speakers, case studies, personal insight and greater understanding of the range of support services that are available to help potential employers realise the benefits in offering work to carers, ex-offenders, individuals in recovery and those experiencing health challenges.
The West Midlands faces some of the most difficult societal challenges, and at the very route of change is the provision of ‘work’. This is evidenced to be the single most important factor in changing behaviours and helping to solve the complex issues that people face, locally, regionally and nationally. This event is aimed at West Midlands employers, business owners or leaders, directors or senior managers in the private, public and VCSE sectors!
The event will also be of benefit to HR specialists and those who are looking to place disadvantaged groups into work experience and employment within their organisations, and gain the benefits of a diverse workforce.
