Concept Conference Centre Picks Up Award

On Wednesday 9th June 2010 Concept Conference Centre picked up the West Midlands Business in the Community Award for Equality and Diversity “for businesses and social enterprises that are pursuing equality and reaping the benefits of diversity”. The award supports the West Midlands Economic Strategy, which is underpinned by equality and diversity principles. The award was sponsored by Advantage West Midlands.

The award not only reflects the hard work of the Concept Team in providing training and employment opportunities to blind or partially sighted people, but also their approach to providing a welcoming environment to all customers! The Equality and Diversity Award obviously recognized Concept’s approach to disability, but also to age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender re-assignment, religion and belief.

The Awards and Gala Dinner took place at the Town Hall, Birmingham and was attended by 320 businesses and entrepreneurs from the local area that are leading the way on Corporate Social Responsibility.
