“24 Carrots” growing fast in Jewellery Quarter

Did you know that a group of Jewellery Quarter residents and enterprises has launched a great new farmers’ market?

24 Carrots, the Jewellery Quarter Farmers’ Market, will next be held on Saturday 19th September 2009, from 9.00am to 3.00pm. There will be 30 stalls providing a range of fresh local produce, live music and a special guest opening the market.

Thanks to the kindness of Bennie Gray, owner of The Big Peg (and its sister building, The Custard Factory, in Digbeth), we have a great location for the market — right on The Big Peg carpark, in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter.

We are shortly planning to register 24 Carrots as a new Community Interest Company, re-investing our surpluses in the development of the market and in improving local facilities for the benefit of the community.

Now you can support local food producers, help improve local facilities, reduce your food-miles, and enjoy good grub — all in the heart of Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter!

Come and see us on Saturday — and make sure you have the forthcoming dates in your diary too:

  • Saturday 17 October 2009
  • Saturday 21 November 2009
  • Saturday 5 December 2009
